Peppe Pistacchio is a premium gelateria that began in the 800’s. Founded upon a rich heritage, our process combines the finest ingredients with a traditional Italian slow-churn method to create a gelato of pure creamy indulgence.

By selecting the finest quality, seasonal and natural ingredients we curate the most delicious flavours without having to use artificial additives. Our process uses less fat than conventional ice creams and Peppe Pistacchio is 100% Halal and vegetarian.

Italian Coffee

Peppe Pistacchio’s Italian coffee takes you back to the streets of Roma. Our signature bean’s earthy tones and bitter-sweet aroma will make you want to take a bag of our coffee home with you. Peppe Pistacchio’s Italian coffee is a moment in time.

The Story of Peppe Pistacchio

In the late 800s, Nonno (grandpa) Salvatore planted his first Pistacchio tree in their family garden. Soon after, he was given the honour of donating his Pistacchio firstlings to the Casa Real of Neaples as a gift for the King. Nono Salvatore continued to plant and grow Pistacchio trees and, for many years after, the Peluso family of Domicella were the only family who grew Pistacchios in the whole Avellinese Valley.

At the time, it was customary to identify a person with the work they did and so it came as no surprise when Nonno Salvatore began to be referred to by all as Salvatore Pistacchio. As the sole providers of the small hard-shelled Pistacchio nut, Nonno Salvatore wore his nickname with pride and it was with great delight that the name was passed down from generation to generation, starting with his son Peppe (short for Guiseppe) Pistacchio.
